About the Hosts

Dan and I (Barb) have been Alaskan residents for over 20 years. We moved here, with our three children, from Wyoming, but we both were born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Our children are grown and only one lives in the state. We have five grandchildren and this summer will have two more. We have been running our Bed and Breakfast for over 14 years. We have met so many wonderful people over the years, from all over the world.

We, (the staff and I) hope you will let us help make your stay in Denali area a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We also hope that when you leave us, you take with you many happy memories.

Barb's Interests: cooking, knitting, crocheting, decorating, gardening, archery, fishing, riding snowmobiles and ATV four or six wheelers and visiting our grandchildren.

Dan has own electrical contracting business. His interests are: Fishing, hunting, riding snowmobiles and ATV four or six wheelers.
 

Affiliations: We belong to the State Alaska Association of Bed & Breakfast (AABB), Fairbanks Association of Bed & Breakfast (FABB), Anchorage Convention and Visitor's Bureau (ACVB), Alaska Travel Industry Association (ATIA), Healy Denali Chamber of Commerce, which I have been on the board for over 5 years, Member of Strathmore's Who's Who and Voted two years in a row, by my guests, for Best in Alaska Award, from Arrington's Bed & Breakfast Journal.
