About Our Inn & Policies
First: A little something about us.
Denali Touch of Wilderness Bed and Breakfast Inn wants to help make your visit with us a special and memorable one.
This year will be our 18th summer running our Bed and Breakfast Inn. It has been a great honor to serve and meet so many wonderful people from all over the world. I thank all of you for giving me that opportunity
Over the years we have had many wonderful and heart-warming compliments in our guest books, some I have printed on the pages of this web site. But there are also a few guests who were truly unhappy. (We can’t please everyone) Some people are not Bed and Breakfast people. Who are Bed and Breakfast people? Well, Bed and Breakfast people love talking to one another and us about their experiences, where they have gone, where they will be traveling to next. What they have seen and done in the places they visited. Most importantly, they talk about the where they stayed along the way. Many of our "drop in" guests are referred to us by a satisfied guest telling them where they stayed in the Denali Area. If you are not a social person or if you want more of a "lounge scene", you might think twice about staying in a Bed and Breakfast.
Our Inn started out as our home. We raised our three children here and like many Alaskans we have lived many years in construction. As you will see, when you visit, my husband’s electrical building still needs to be finished. I am telling you this because we did not build this Inn to be a sound proof hotel BUT on the other hand it is NOT paper thin either. Which, leads me to the policies that need to be in place to help insure everyone has an enjoyable stay.
No Animals allowed in house
No Smoking allowed in house.
There will be a fine of $150 for smoking in the room or having your animal in the house. Many people have allergies to smoke and animals. To clean a room from ceiling to floor takes a lot of man hours. Please go out side and away from the windows to smoke and animals must stay outside or in your car. Thank you
Check in time is 4 to 10pm
Check out time is 11am
If you are going to be later than 10pm please call and let us know the approximate time of your arrival. Arrivals later than 10pm may have a note explaining how to get to your room.
We have a 10pm quiet time from 10 pm on. (no TV please) Some people think this odd but we have many people in house and on most days at least half are going on early tours in the park leaving at 6am or earlier. Our Bed and Breakfast is located in a very quite area, most people are not use to the absolute quiet and hear every tick of the clock so our lodging supplies ear plugs for the light sleepers and fans in each room for ambient noise.
For Guests Leaving early or Arriving late, Again, remember many people are sleeping.
PLEASE BE AS QUIET AS POSSIBLE!
Office and Snack shop open until 10pm
Lunches and Breakfast "to go" orders need to be handed into the office by 9pm. If you are arriving late and want to order a lunch or breakfast to go you can get the order form on the breakfast/lunch page on the web site and email it to us ahead of time.
Drinking is allow in moderation, if you abuse that courtesy and disrupt our other guests, you will be asked to leave and your money will not be refunded.
If you need assistance or something is not working properly, please let the person in the office know and we will attend to it as soon as possible.
Cancellation Policy
If you:
Cancel up to a two months of the stay you will be charged a cancellation fee of $30 per room.
Cancel up to a month of the stay you will be charged a cancellation fee of $45 per room.
Cancel within a month and I can’t re-rent the room you will lose the deposit of a one night stay.
